QiKU Terra 808 & Terra 810
QiKU announced entry in the Indian market with two smartphones and it is planning to launch more handsets later in order to increase its influence further. The joint venture between a Chinese Internet company Qihoo 360 and the handset manufacturer Coolpad, QiKU, announced their much awaited entry into the Indian markets on Friday. Even though Indian smartphone market is flooding with new entries, this one is somehow looking to create its own space in the crowd by offering two of their coolest handsets to begin with, QiKU Terra 808 and QiKU Terra 810 which are two of the most hi tech handsets produced by the company.
Both the models are offering some high end specifications and being Chinese, they fall in the group of ‘most affordable high-end phones’. The company is also known for the impeccable security features that they provide with their handsets such as a secure payment option which, for the payment apps, uses a dedicated VPN. However, Chinese companies are may be among the most unreliable ones when it comes to the security features but given the hard work that QiKU has put in, we might have to change the way we think.
The QiKU Terra 810 is known for its massive and extremely well designed display, 6-inch QHD (1440 X 2560) and is available along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor which has been paired with a 4 GB of the Random Access Memory (RAM) and a massive 64 GB of the internal storage. Talking about the camera, this one features a very handy and sleek 13-megapixels rear camera which happens to have two Sony IMX 278 sensors of aperture f/1.8 that is able to give a moderate priced DSLR a good run for its money. On the front, a 5-megapixel camera takes away the cake as a selfie-perfect cam.
On the other hand, the QiKU Terra 808 has been powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC along with 3 GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage is lower than 810, 16 GB inbuilt. The device comes with two 13 megapixel Sony IMX 278 shooters with the aperture f/1.8 at the back and on the front, and 8 MP one.
These are the main specifications while the company has said that the full list of features and specifications will be revealed later at the time of the official launch of the handsets. The high profile Terra series, in China, is selling at a starting price of about Rs. 20,700. The company’s other lineups are also very popular in the home country and the company has not yet cleared its intentions about bringing them to India.
About the software, along with the said additional security features, the phones will be running on the Android 5.1 Lollipop platform.
