Redragon S101 Wired Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Combo

51vOyKGea+L. SL500

Redragon is a name many PC gamers will recognize at this point. The brand owes its popularity to the consistently high quality of its products, and this mouse and keyboard combination is no exception, featuring some nifty features and neat touches.

Review

The keyboard included in this excellent combination deal stands out thanks to its seven – that’s right, seven – different RGB lighting modes and effects, permitting even more levels of customization to your gaming experience. It’s also been designed with your health and safety in mind and includes an integrated wrist-rest. This makes it more than ideal for long gaming sessions and even office work as well if you’re so inclined.

The keys themselves total up to 104. They are designed for longevity while also providing you with ample tactile feedback from every press.

The mouse features six different buttons, five of which are fully-programmable to suit your needs. You are also able to adjust the DPI up to 3200, and the sensor is extremely responsive, providing a significant edge over any competition you may face.

Overall, this is a solid and worthwhile package. We would have liked to see a wireless option as well for both the keyboard and mouse, but overall, we’re exceedingly happy with this product – and we’re sure you will be too.

Pros

  • Seven different RGB lighting modes and effects
  • Five fully-programmable mouse keys
  • Comprehensive tactile feedback
  • Extremely accurate mouse sensor
  • Highly customizable overall

Cons

  • No options for wireless connectivity
  • Compared to the keyboard, the mouse has a distinct lack of customizability

Havit Mechanical Keyboard and Mouse Combo

51ozXS5RKBS. SL500

While the VictSing mouse and keyboard both featured a simpler, cleaner aesthetic, it’s clear that this Havit mechanical keyboard and mouse combination is opting for a meaner, more industrial visual design. It’s also a lot more expensive – you’ll just have to decide for yourself whether or not you think it’s worth the hefty price-tag.

Review

The Havit mouse and keyboard both feature intense levels of customization, on both an external and internal level. The keyboard itself features 14 different backlighting modes and 104 “floating” keys, all of which feature full n-key rollover and are extremely sensitive, providing plenty of tactile feedback.

The mouse features six different dots per inch settings ranging from 800 DPI all the way up to a staggering 4800 DPI. These DPI levels can be changed on the go, allowing you to quickly adjust to any scenario you encounter. The mouse also features seven different color effects.

The package also includes a detachable wrist-rest, though overall, it doesn’t concern itself with ergonomics as much as it does with customizability. As a whole, you’ll get plenty of use out of this mouse and keyboard combination – provided you’re willing to pay the lofty price.

Pros

  • High levels of customization
  • Niche yet welcome physical features such as “floating” keys
  • Six different DPI settings can be changed on the fly
  • Appealing color effects and settings
  • Plug-and-play capabilities – no drivers required

Cons

  • Not very ergonomically-inclined
  • The more “industrial” nature of the keyboard and mouse’s design can be off-putting for some

MFTEK RGB Rainbow Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Combo

51OGh3midjL. SL500

This combo is a welcome addition to this list following the Havit mouse and keyboard combination, thanks to this package’s significantly less demanding price-tag. Unfortunately, where you save on money, you’ll sacrifice in both functionality and form. Still, there’s enough here to like about the MFTEK keyboard and mouse combination that may just be enough to sway you.

Review

We’ll get this out of the way first before reviewing the individual components that make up this package. Both the keyboard and the mouse’s designs seem tacky and cheap, featuring a glowing rainbow backlight on the former and a clunky, robotic aesthetic attached to the latter that evokes memories of the Power Rangers. Now that that’s out of the way let’s take a closer look.

The keyboard’s rainbow-colored backlight can – thankfully – be adjusted in brightness or otherwise turned off completely. There are only 87  keys, each of which features glowing lettering allowing for in-the-dark play.

The mouse features four LED colors – red, blue, purple, and rose – which can somewhat distract you from the otherwise awkward, ugly design. There are six different fully-programmable buttons, but only four separate DPI settings.

Overall, the keyboard and mouse get the job done well enough, but a lack of ergonomic features and off-putting design choices make using these bits of hardware a less than worthwhile experience. Thankfully, the price isn’t too steep.

Pros

  • Very reasonable price
  • Glow-in-the-dark keys
  • Four different LED colors for the mouse
  • The rainbow backlight can – thankfully – be switched off

Cons

  • Cheap design and aesthetic is not very attractive
  • Lack of ergonomic features
  • Does not have customization options

Rii Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Set

Following in the footsteps of our less-than-stellar previous choice, this mouse and keyboard package from Rii has a pretty great price-tag and is the cheapest of all of our options here. Beyond that, it also packs in enough different features, which make it a truly worthwhile purchase.

Review

The Rii mouse and keyboard features a neat, practical design overall and allows for enough customization to make the experience of using them your own.

The keyboard features one-hundred and four different keys, which glow in the dark, as well as three different LED backlight colors and a non-slip design, which makes it easy to use.

The mouse features five fully-programmable buttons (six in total) and four separate DPI settings along with seven different color modes, which allow you to customize the experience to your liking.

Pros

  • Clean, efficient design looks great on any desk
  • Enough customization options available to satisfy your needs
  • Plug-and-play capabilities – no drivers required
  • Designed to be durable

Cons

  • Only four DPI settings
  • Not very ergonomic

Final Thoughts

When deciding which keyboard and mouse combo option is best for you, keep in mind your budget and needs. This will help you narrow down your search. Our first and last entries would be our top picks, but we guarantee that you’ll be more than satisfied with any of these products.
