The case that you choose to house your PC’s components in is one of the most important aspects of your setup. Of course, you don’t want to hear your PC whine and hum constantly, which is why many people opt for quiet cases.
However, there are a lot of quiet cases on the market – so many, in fact, that finding a good one can be a challenge. That is why we’ve compiled a list of some of the best quiet PC cases out there.

Corsair Carbide Series Silent Edition
Starting off, we have this clean, modern, quiet PC case from Corsair, a brand that is known for its high-quality electronics and affordable prices. If you’re looking for something simple, then this is the case for you.
Review
This is the perfect quiet case for anyone who isn’t looking for anything too flashy and who just wants a sleek case that will keep things quiet and get the job done. It features a more understated, mature design that can fit well into almost any setup out there.
The sound-dampening side panels are responsible for reducing the noise that your PC makes so that you can have a quiet working and gaming experience. This Corsair case also features a 3-speed fan controller, allowing the fans to go into overdrive when your rig’s performance requires it.
It includes two, sleek 120mm fans that provide you with a headstart on your cooling system. The case is compatible with USB 3.0 for modern connectivity, and it is made from durable steel. It is available in various colors, sizes, and styles, and you can even choose an RGB-lit option to make your setup more colorful.
While the fans are a great bonus, they get their air intake from their sides, leaving almost no room for air to flow through them. As a result, their effectiveness is compromised, and we feel that Corsair should either have included more intake space or a grill at the front.
Pros
- Simple, mature design
- Available in various styles & sizes
- 3-speed fan controller
- Comes with two 120mm fans
Cons
- Included fans may not be effective at cooling
Fractal Design Define Silent Modular Case
This is the PC case you get when you want everyone to know exactly what hardware your setup is working with. This quiet case from Fractal Design features a stylish glass panel on one side that shows off all your hardware while still keeping things silent.
Review
The Fractal Design quiet case boasts solid construction with industrial, high-density sound dampening that helps maintain an operating volume so quiet that you won’t be able to hear it. You are able to convert to storage layout and install up to 14 hard-disk drives, as well as four solid-state drives, in the dedicated SSD mounts.
The case features three Dynamic X2 FP-14 fans that come preinstalled, with room to expand your cooling system to include a total of nine fans. There is also an included multi-bracket that allows you to turn any unused fan position to a mount for an HDD, SDD, or even a pump to boost your cooling even further.
Brushed aluminum is used to encase the refined front-door design, which includes dual-handed reversible hinges, as well as magnetic latching. The case comes in many colors, with different tints for the glass panel, and there are also versions available that are entirely solid without the glass panel if you don’t want to show off your hardware.
Sadly, the case does not come with an HDD activity light, and if you are planning to install an optical drive, you should expect it to be wobbly since the bracket is only held by two screws.
Pros
- High-density sound dampening
- 14 HDD slots
- 4 SSD slots
- Includes three Dynamic X2 FP-14 fans
Cons
- No HDD activity light
Be Quiet! Silent Base 802 Mid-Tower
The name says it all, and it only makes sense that a brand called Be Quiet! would produce a silent PC case. This one comes with all of the features you’d expect from a high-quality case with a stylish design that will make you the envy of your friends.
Review
One of the great things about this PC case is that it has an interchangeable top cover and front panel, allowing either maximum airflow or silent operation. However, that is also one of its downsides, as you can’t have the best of both worlds and have to choose between one or the other.
Like the previous two cases on this list, Be Quiet!’s Silent Base comes with three Pure Wings 2 140mm fans included, which give you a small headstart when it comes to your cooling system. The case also comes with thick insulation mats that improve the overall noise reduction further.
It features a state-of-the-art I/O panel with a fan controller, as well as USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C ports for modern, fast connections. The case comes in four different styles, two white and two black, with one white and one black featuring a glass panel on one side that lets you show off your computer’s components.
The only real downside to this case is that its cable management is rather tight. If you have several SSDs, you’re going to have to put some considerable bends on the wires to get them to fit the main board. This is a minor inconvenience but still not ideal.
Pros
- Interchangeable top cover
- Two fans included
- Fan controller
- Available in various styles
Cons
- Less-than-ideal cable management
Thermaltake Suppressor F31 Quiet Case
This is definitely one of the coolest-looking PC cases on the market, and the fact that it’s quiet is just an added bonus. It comes with a tempered glass panel that lets you see into the case and marvel at the inner workings of your machine.
Review
The Suppressor F31 Tempered Glass Edition tower boasts a durable, 4mm thick tempered glass window, a preinstalled 140mm Riing Blue Fan, as well as cutting-edge sound reduction panels on every side of the chassis. This is certainly one of the most high-tech cases out there.
The concept is entirely modular. The fully modular drive cages offer you easy installation and removal that is difficult to find in PC cases these days. It also allows you to maximize the interior space to suit your own custom cooling loop. The Riser GPU support bracket was designed with dual GPU placement and can prevent your graphics card from sagging, as well as reduce the weight on your motherboard.
The magnetic fan filter on the top of the case attaches to the filter with ease to filter dust. The super-fine fan filter at the bottom offers fantastic protection against dust and dirt, helping you keep your PC and its hardware as clean and efficient as possible.
Built-in sound panels are incorporated at the front, top, and sides to reinforce noise reduction and provide silent operation.
Unfortunately, the power button on this case can sometimes feel flimsy and can also be prone to failure every now and then. Once again, this is a minor inconvenience, but it can be frustrating in the long run.
Pros
- Tempered glass window
- Entirely modular concept
- Riser GPU support bracket
- Dust & dirt reduction
Cons
- Power button may be flimsy
Corsair Carbide Series 678C Low Noise ATX Case
Corsair started this list off, and now they’re going to finish it. This case is one of their most advanced, and it is available in two different styles and colors, allowing you to find exactly the right one for you.
Review
A PWM fan repeater included in the case is used to control the three included SP140 PWM fans and has enough room to power three more. You can reduce the speed of the fans when you want your PC to be quiet or increase their speed when you’re looking for maximum performance, all using a single 4-pin PWM header on the motherboard.
The highly dense EVA foam that is found in the front, sides, and roof panels dampens the noise that your components produce, and you can even switch out the roof panel for the included dust filter when you’re looking for maximum airflow. The front panel and tempered glass panel are both hinged to provide easy access to the interior without the need for tools.
You can install up to six 3.5”, one 5.25”, and three 2.5” drives in the case. The versatile ODD/HDD design comes with six modular trays that you are able to move to eight different mounting locations, allowing you to customize the layout exactly how you want it.
While the tempered glass panel may be a cool-looking design choice, it makes the case heavy, which can make moving it around a slight hassle.
Pros
- PWM fan repeater
- Three SP140 PWM fans
- Roof panel can be switched out for maximum airflow
- Versatile, modular design
Cons
- Very heavy to move around
Wrapping Up
